The results of experimental studies have been presented for the evaporation of liquid film flowing down inside a vertical tube. Experiments were performed for methanol, isopropanol and water, with heat flux up to 31 kW/m(2). The Chun and Seban correlation was verified experimentally for low values of heat flux, where nucleate boiling is not developed. Based on experimental data the correlation for nucleate boiling region was presented.
