In the paper the experimental results obtained with employing of ultrafiltration process based on zirconium (IV) hydroxide membranes for improving of lactose-to-lactic acid fermentation process are presented. The effect of bacteria concentration, transmembrane pressure, cross-flow velocity and time on lactic acid concentration and permeate flux in terms of resistance-in-series model are shown and discussed.
