Approach to cyclic steady state in simulations of the catalytic reverse-flow combustion of methane
Computer simulations of the reverse-flow reactor should be performed until so-called Cyclic Steady State (CSS) is achieved. Usually this state is computed by Direct Dynamic Simulation approach. There exists the possibility of special approaches, using mostly the Newton-based minimization algorithms. In this paper, these two approaches for catalytic reverse-flow combustion of methane simulations are compared and evaluated.
