Results of investigation of the effect of inoculum age of the strain Cerrena unicolor on laccase productivity are discussed in the paper. A significant influence of the inoculation time of biological material on the amount of produced enzyme was observed. An optimum culture duration was also determined. An attempt was made to formulate a mathematical model that determines laccase production taking into account the inoculum age.
