Kinetics of the crystallization of sodium sulphite
Results are presented of experimental investigations on the kinetics of the crystallization of sodium sulphite. The measurements were made in a laboratory scale evaporative installation, containing an 0.2 dm(3) continuously operated crystallizer. The linear crystal growth and nucleation rates are estimated from the population density plot using the MSMPR model. The correlations between rates of growth and nucleation, supersaturation and magma density are derived from the experimental data.
