Modelling of expanded bed adsorption process
In the paper the general rate expanded bed column model was analyzed. In the model the particle size distribution was taken into account. More over the dependency of all model parameter on the position along column axis was regarded. The performed simulation proved that dynamic capacity can be calculated for average interstitial velocity and average bed porosity. It was also presented that the mass transfer resistance depends mainly on mass transfer resistances inside adsorbent particle.
