The effect of molecular mass and solvent composition on rheological properties of chitosan salts
Rheological properties of highly viscous solutions of chitosan acetate are discussed in the paper. Solutions with polymer concentration 6, 8 and 10% were investigated. The effect of molecular mass on rheological properties was determined. The investigations are a basis for specifying input parameters of chitosan membrane formation. They enable the determination of solution homogeneity and polymer degradation in a given solvent.
