Gas dispersal in liquids of different viscosity
A study was carried out of the influence of liquid viscosity on the gas dispersal in jet reactor equipped with TPJ gas disperser operating on the principle of a continuous collision of two jets of the gas and liquid. An intense contact of the media in turbulent flow results in high values of the gas holdup (up to 63%), interfacial area (up to 12000 m(2.)m(-3)) and low values of Sauter bubble diameters (below 1 mm).
