The preliminary results of investigations of nitrous acid oxidation with air, pure oxygen, or ozone and oxygen mixture in nitric acid solutions taken from a nitric acid plant are presented in this paper. It was found that ozone application results in complete nitrous acid oxidation, contrary to oxidation with air or oxygen.
