Experimental analysis of counter-current spray drying
Extensive experimental studies on spray drying of maltodextrin in the countercurrent system were performed. The effect of spraying nozzle position relative to air atomization ratio on local distributions of dried material particle diameters in the column was determined. It was shown that drying air temperature in the atomization zone had a significant effect on the process of agglomeration in the countercurrent spray dryers.
