There is presented a layer method, which permits tracking of a condensation process inside the condenser. A cross-section of the condenser is divided on a set of layers. In each layer, there are calculated such parameters like: pressure and temperature of vapour-gas mixture, mass flow of the condensate and temperature of cooling water. The layer method could be used to diagnostics and continuous monitoring the work of the condenser.
