Determination of the chemical reaction kinetics based on calorimetric measurements and amount of gaseous products evolved
Heat released and oxygen evolved during the chemical reaction were used for determination of the kinetics of hydrogen peroxide decomposition in the presence of heterogeneous catalyst. The measurements were performed with the RCl Mettler-Toledo reaction calorimeter. Goethite - a pure crystalline iron oxide mineral was used in this study as a catalyst. The system H2O2-goethite can be utilized for industrial wastes purification.
