Research into formation and breakage of solid aggregates suspended in liquid
Formation and breakage of chalk aggregates suspended in water have been investigated. The experiments were performed in rotational and vibrating laboratory mixers. In description of the aggregate size evolution, a mathematical model based on lumped discrete population balance equations was employed. The mathematical model can be used in description of similar physical systems.
