Reactive micromixing of liquids of equal and different viscosities in a shear flow
Micromixing of liquids of equal an unequal viscosity in a simple shear flow has been studied theoretically. The effect of the viscosity ratio of mixed liquids on the mixing time of an inert tracer and on the course of competitive-parallel chemical reactions was determined using a multi-dimensional micromixing model. Results of modelling were compared with those obtained for a plane stagnation flow.
