Influence of temperature on the liquid-liquid equilibria of the ternary system nitromethane plus 1-hexanol plus octanoic acid
Liquid-liquid equilibria and mutual solubility for (nitromethane + 1-hexanol + octanoic acid) have been studied in the temperature range 16.5 degreesC to 35.6 degreesC with analysis by gas chromatography. Phase diagrams, including tie lines and plait points, are reported over this temperature range. The form of the binodal curves in the region near their point of contact is discussed.
