Densities and viscosities of binary mixtures of anisole with 2-propanol, 2-hexanol, 2-heptanol, and 2-octanol
The densities and viscosities of binary mixtures of anisole with 2-propanol, 2hexanol, 2-heptanol, and 2-octanol were measured at 303.15 K, 313.15 K, and 323.15 K over the entire composition range. The excess volumes and the viscosity deviation were calculated at various temperatures. Excess molar volumes were positive for all the systems except the 2-propanol system, and the viscosity deviation was negative for all the investigated systems. Redlich-Kister type equations were fitted to the excess molar volumes and viscosity deviation, and McAllister's three-body and four-body interaction models were also used to correlate the kinematic viscosities.
