Computation of heating stations in the Powder-Slush Process
The controlled heating of galvano-molds (Powder-Slush Process) is of fundamental importance in manufactoring artificial leather skins. Due to the complex heat transfer involved, a suitable modeling program (written in Object Pascal, Delphi(TM) 5), based on a set of differential equations, has been developed. The numerical integration of this differential equations (Runge-Kutta-Method) provides information, that is useful for studying parameter-influences (process optimization), as well as dynamic problems like the start up of the process or process-disturbances. Accordingly some computations will be discussed in this paper.
