Polystyrene recycling. Although the plastics in the "Yellow Bag" recyclable waste collection are still sorted primarily according to article type, this is gradually being replaced by sorting on the basis of plastic type. The polystyrene mixture obtained in this way has been examined to see whether it can be mechanically recycled by the conventional wet-mechanical process as well as by polymer solution recycling.
