Three trends are shaping development in plastics compounding: new polymerisation plants now require compounding and pelletising systems for outputs of up to 80 t/h, flexible compounding machines are needed for the growing number of plastics that have to be modified for specific applications, direct processing of compounds into semi-finished or finished products is continually gaining importance.
