Solar modules are modem, environmentally beneficial and architectonically attractive eye-catching enhancements with an outstanding cost/benefit ratio. Modules based on polycarbonate and PMMA show good low-temperature flexibility and heat deformability. They are characterised by an individual combination of shape, size, colour, performance and type and arrangement of solar cells. The fragile solar cells are embedded in permanently elastic material, sandwiched between two high-tech plastic sheets to protect them against hail and vandalism. The materials used provide, along with flexibility, good transmission properties and permanent UV and weathering resistance.
