COST CONSCIOUSNESS. Injection moulding machines built to Central European standards give moulders an economic advantage over simply equipped machines from Asian manufacturers, so-called "low-spec "machines. The cost benefits are independent of the specific application or production site location. In an analysis of the manufacturing costs for various injection moulded-parts, the greater availability of European machines and their higher efficiency have shown themselves to be decisive criteria contributing to success: based on investigations, the production costs are between 8 and 38% lower than on "low-spec" machines. When it comes to economics, the purchase price of the machine is of only secondary importance.
