MECHANICAL JOINING TECHNIQUES. A technology has been developed at the KVB e. V that combines injection moulding and metal forming into a single operation. The objective is to create undercuts that prevent inserts from subsequently being pulled out of overmoulded parts. Problems related to shrinkage of the plastic are reduced by decoupling vibrations transmitted to the insert.
