VISCOSITY MEASUREMENT. A special nozzle is used to determine the viscosity behaviour of the plastic melt directly on the injection moulding machine. Unlike melt flow index (MFI) measurement this method presents the flow behaviour across a large shear-rate profile. The measurement nozzle can also determine flow anomalies in highly filled plastic compounds.
