CASE STUDY (3). Automated injection moulding production is often difficult to implement for small parts, since the demand for direct gating of the parts is rarely possible to achieve. Nevertheless, with standards and mini hat-runner systems developed especially for this type of application, and the smallest possible moulds on small injection moulding machines, cost efficient solutions are possible, as this case study shows.
