Why are SCR costs still rising?
The capital cost of the average selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system has grown from $60 to $75/kW in the mid-1990s to $100 or more per kilowatt today. Among the possible reasons for this disturbing trend: more-challanging sites to retrofit, a wider range of equipment that must be upgraded, and strained labour resources.
