Mercury control technologies offering sustainable performance and known applicability, impact, and cost are still in the future. Cooperative funding for long-term, full-scale tests of developed technologies-and support for emerging ones-promises to close this gap. The goal is to learn how to tailor mercury control technologies to the flue gas environments of individual power plants.
