Air heater leakage: Worse than you think
Every good engineer knows that you can't control what you can't measure. In the case of rotary regenerative air heaters, many plants fail to limit the negative impact of heater leakage because they use measurement procedures and/or devices that fail to take into account its indirect effects. This article explains the importance of accurately measuring leakage levels and the need to use modern seals to make heaters air-tight.
