The convergence of networks and telecommunications allows us to propagate plant data and information to wherever they're needed-centralized diagnostics facilities, vendor diagnostics, corporate boardrooms, remote control stations, and even regulatory agencies. Human resources are now being deployed around this capability, to create what the computer World has long called the meta-organization.
