Macro challenges in micromolding
Injection molding of very small parts is slowly maturing as a specialized field, drawing the interest of people who are experts at molding standard-size parts. But they should be wary of making assumptions about micromolding, says Donna Bibber, vice president of Miniature Tool & Die Inc. (MTD). "The biggest one I see is thinking that you can equate a lot of things you know about macromolding to micromolding. And you can't-it's just very different".
