Training: Many needs, many options
Molders and processors face a "double whammy" when it comes to keeping their workforce trained: first, there's a shortage of younger workers who are familiar with hands-on machine operation. Meanwhile, cost-cutting across sectors has reduced shop-floor training support from internal corporate engineering, and from resin and machine suppliers (who are having their own problems finding skilled technical-support staff).
