Pulsed plasma polymerisation of butylacrylate for pressure-sensitive adhesion
Pulsed plasma polymerisation of butylacrylate monomer is found to lead to the deposition of polymeric films which are structurally very similar to conventional poly(butylacrylate). Carbon dioxide or oxygen plasma post treatment of these surfaces significantly improves their adhesive performance due to greater Lewis acid-base interactions at the interface.
