Carbon dioxide hydrogenation catalysts (a review)
A review on the carbon dioxide hydrogenation catalysts based on Group VIII metal (iron subgroup and platinum metals) salts supported on the surface of inorganic supports is presented, and their activity and selectivity in the CO2 methanation reaction are discussed. Possible schemes for the CO2 methanation mechanism are considered. Data on the homogeneous hydrogenation of CO2 in the presence of metal complex catalysts based on platinum metal salts are also discussed.
