Production of organic sulfur compounds from natural hydrocarbon feedstock (review)
Industrial processes tor obtaining sulfide, sulfoxide, disulfide, and mercaptan concentrates from sour crude oils and gas condensates are described. Processes for the manufacturing of thiophenes from C-4-C-6 hydrocarbons and hydrogen sulfide, the processing products of sour oils, are considered. Trends in the modification of these processes were revealed, with emphasis placed on their environmental safety. The range of use of organic sulfur compounds from crude oils and gas condensates in petroleum refining and petroleum chemistry is discussed.
