Metathesis of linear olefins and their functional derivatives on the immobilized tungsten-silicon-containing catalyst
Behavior of the silica gel-immobiliZed W.Cl-6/SiO2/1,1,3,3-tetramethyl-1,3-disilacyclobutane system in the metathesis reaction of functionalized linear olefins was studied. It was found that this heterogeneous system exhibited a high activity and selectivity in the metathesis of terminal olefins (1-octene). The catalyst system is promising from the environmental viewpoint, as it does not require an organic solvent, does not contain toxic components, and is reusable.
