Barium chloride-based industrial catalysts for pyrolysis of hydrocarbon feedstock
Barium chloride-based catalysts for pyrolysis of straight-run gasoline, platforming raffinate, and cracked gasoline were developed. The strength properties of pelleted catalysts with graphite, synthetic fatty acid diethanolamides, phenol-furan resin, and clay as a binder were tested. The use of available binders made it possible to facilitate the forming process and to prepare catalysts with the required mechanical strength and thermal stability for use in fixed-bed reactors.
