Isomerization of n-hexane on nickel-containing zeolite catalysts
Bifunctional zeolite-containing Ni catalysts modified with heteropolyacids were developed for the process of n-alkane isomerization. These catalysts do not contain platinum-group metals. The highest isomerizing activity was found for a Ni catalyst in the matrix made from the H form of Narynkol clay and the H form of mordenite as a zeolite component of the composite catalyst. The introduction of acidic additives results in an increase in isomerizing activity due to an increase in the concentration of acid sites.
