Kinetic characteristics of the manufacture of esters from isoprene production waste
The reaction rate orders in components, the apparent rate constant, and the activation energy of the transesterification reaction of dibutyl adipate with a mixture of isomeric dioxane alcohols, the isoprene rubber manufacturing waste, were determined. The conditions for running the transesterification process aimed to obtain a poly(vinyl chloride) blend plasticizer are recommended. Gas chromatographic-mass spectrometric analysis data for the fraction of dioxane alcohols and a mixture of their esters are presented.
