The effect of an absorbed polyelectrolyte layer on the dynamic mobility of a colloidal particle
Electroacoustic measurements can be used for determining the characteristics of polymer layers on colloidal particles. In this paper a theoretical formula is derived for calculating the effect of a polyelectrolyte layer on the colloid electroacoustic signal. Representative calculations are presented. and the application of these results for polyelectrolyte characterisation arc discussed.
