An Experimental-Study on Measurement of Poissons Ratio with Digital Correlation Method
A newly developed optical testing method, the digital correlation method (DCM), is discussed in this paper, and its use in testing of Poisson’s ratio of nonmetal, low modulus viscoelastic materials. DCM is a noncontact testing method and is very easy to adapt to the environment. It has very bright prospects for wider applications.
