Efficiency of electric motors under practical conditions
The efficient use of energy, and in particular electrical energy, is a priority in every developed nation. Engineers are always looking for ways of improving conversion efficiencies in a wide range of engineering processes. One area for potential energy saving is the electric motel; which accounts for around 70% of industrial power comsumption. But how can you accurately measure its efficiency in practical situations?
