The effect of humidity on the friction sensitiveness of RDX
The effect of humidity on the sensitiveness to initiation by friction has been studied for RDX at different temperatures. The results show that the relative humidity is the dominant factor in determining friction sensitiveness, not temperature as we have previously reported. ne adsorption of water vapour on RDX has been measured and correlates with the change in friction sensitiveness.
