Some further reactions on 1,1-diamino-2,2-dinitroethene (DADNE) were performed in view of a better reactivity understanding. This paper intends to give a global overview of the specific reactivity of DADNE dealing with kinetics, mechanism and structure-reactivity relationship. A general and updated scheme on the specific reactivity of DADNE was subsequently suggested.
