Progress in ammonia technology illustrated by the Instytut Nawozow Sztucznych retrofitting projects applied at the "Anwil" Works, Wloclawek
A review covering the 1998-2002 retrofits realized at the 750-ton/day ammonia plant, improvements in steam economy, reduction of stack gas temperature to 170degreesC, water savings due to pressure degassing and full recirculation of technological condensate, and drying of fresh synthesis gas on molecular sieves.
