Chemical industry is the area of mutual interest for chemical technology (with more emphasis on chemical aspects, Le., nanoscale processes) and chemical engineering (with more emphasis on physical aspects, i.e. micro- through macro-scale phenomena). Complementary aspects of the two domains were outlined.
