A review with 77 refs. covering catalysts prepared from hydrotalcite precursors with particular reference to the elimination of the use of strong base solutions, removal of hazardous by-products and pollutants, and modification of catalytic processes (oxydehydrogenation of butane and ethylbenzene; dehydrogenation of n- and iso-butanes, etc.) to meet the green chemistry postulates.
