Ofigomerization of C-4 olefin hydrocarhons as a source of high-octane components of engine gasolines
Com. processes for dimerization and oligomerization of isobutene both pure and contained in C-4 hydrocarbon fractions from steam cracking of straight-run gasoline and from fluidal catalytic cracking of vacuum distillates were presented. Sulfonated ion-exchange resins are mainly used as catalysts of the oligomerization. The process can be carried out in existing plants for manufg. MeOCMe3.
