A review, with 66 refs., covering recent achievements in applied photochem. and its prospectives. In particular, photochem. of polymers, conversion and storage of solar energy, mol. photochem. switches and photochem. treatment of waste water were taken into consideration. Use of photochem. in medicine was also outlined.
