Stable isotopes. An important tool in the environmental engineering
The stable isotope pairing technique (N-15 IPT) was used for studying the denitrification of NO2 ions in bottom sediments from the Solina reservoir in 2002-2003. The denitrification rate was lower than 164 mu mol N-2/m(2)h and mainly depended on the NO2 concn. in overlying water.
