Removal of NaCl from glycerol by ion exchange
Two com. cation and anion-exchange resins were used for removal of NaCl from its soin. in glycerol at 30-75 degrees C (resins capacity 2.78 mg/g (45 degrees C) and 2.95 mg/g (60 degrees C) for Na+ and Cl- ions, resp.). The Na+/H+ and Cl-/OH(-)ions-exchange isotherms were detd. The effective diffusion coeffs. were 3.012.10(-9) and 1.596.10(-9) cm(2)/s, resp.
