A and B laccases were used for activating the hemp hurds and flax shives in prodn. of composites. 2,2'-Azino-di(3-ethyl-benzothiazolo-6-sulfonic acid and N-hydroxyacetanilide were used successfully as laccase mediators. The flax shive boards showed higher tensile strength than hemp hurds ones.
